Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian symbolist painter 1. He is renowned for his paintings, murals, and sketches.. Klimt's works are characterized by their ornamental style and the extensive use of gold leaf, especially during his "Golden Phase." One of his most famous works is "The Kiss" (1907-1908),

 The effect of such paintings and the resulting wall hangings have  considerable use of gold colours  as well as unique shapes distributed randomly across the piece.The resulting piece also relies on considerable  embellishments.
